For many years a partnership has existed between evangelical churches across the denominations, in the district around Paisley. For several years, as part of the national Evangelical Alliance, the Paisley and District Evangelical Alliance sought to promote the values of fellowship and working together with the common aim of advancing the kingdom of God in our area.  More  recently the organisation has taken on the new name of 2gether which captures our desire to draw Evangelical Christians together.

UNITY

God has placed an increasing desire in our hearts to see Him move more powerfully in our locality. We believe that one of the prerequisites for a significant move of God is unity in the body of Christ. Not a uniformity, but a unity born out of a common desire to serve Jesus, based on relationship and trust amongst the local churches who hold biblical values and doctrines.

The PDEA office is delighted to help local church projects by providing helpful contacts within the area to assist in making a success of their ministry. It is hoped that this too will draw the body of Christ together.

PRAYER

We believe that God is calling His church to a renewed commitment to prayer. Therefore the PDEA is seeking to promote prayer throughout the churches in the locality by encouraging prayer groups and organising corporate prayer events.

EVANGELISM

Prayer stimulates a desire to see people come to know Jesus. It is with this in mind that we desire to encourage events to which people with little, or no prior understanding of Christianity, can be invited.

SOCIAL ACTION

The Welcome Bus is a PDEA initiative which seeks to show God's love in a practical way to the lonely people in our community. By simply offering a cup of tea and a listening ear many people have experienced and responded to the love of God.
